Photos and identification
When you submit a photograph, Archidex sends the image and optional location coordinates to its identification service. The image is processed in memory and is not kept by that service after the request finishes.
Generated portraits
If Archidex identifies a meaningful building outside the processed catalog, it may generate a portrait and building record. A portrait you collect is stored privately with your account. An uncollected draft is deleted when you abandon it or retake the photo.
Account and collection data
Archidex stores your account identity, collected building IDs, collection dates, encounter counts, favorites, and private pending building records so your collection can remain available across devices.
Location
Location access is optional. Coordinates may support identification when you take a photo. The collection map uses each building’s canonical location and does not store a history of your movements.
Service providers
Archidex uses Supabase for authentication and collection storage, Vercel for application hosting and AI routing, Google models for identification and portrait generation, and the platform store for subscription billing.
Your choices
You can use a library photo without granting location access, sign out, and delete your Archidex account and collection data from Settings. Store subscriptions must be canceled separately through the store that manages them.
Security and retention
Archidex limits account data to what the service needs and uses access controls for private records. Data may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
